Lancashire has been a strong force in the T20 Blast since it started in 2003.
They’ve won over 150 matches with an impressive win rate of 57%, and were crowned champions once, in 2015.

Their consistency always makes them a title contender.

In 2025, the team features England superstar Jos Buttler, whose explosive batting and leadership make him the heart of the squad.

They also have strong overseas names like Logan van Beek from the Netherlands and Shan Masood from Pakistan, adding international depth to their lineup.

2.Gloucestershire – South Group

Gloucestershire won the 2024 T20 Blast, securing their first-ever title.

For the 2025 season, they’ve kept their core squad intact - including opening batsmen Cameron Bancroft and Miles Hammond, both known for their consistency and reliable scoring.

3.Somerset – South Group

Somerset is one of the most consistent teams in T20 Blast and a true powerhouse in the South Group.

They reached the finals in both 2023 and 2024 - winning the title in 2023 and finishing as runners-up in 2024.

Known for their explosive batting lineup, Somerset also boast a strong bowling attack led by New Zealand all-rounders Mitchell Santner and Nathan Smith.

4.Surrey-South

T20 Blast Qualification Format

The T20 Blast has two groups: North Division and South Division, each with 8 teams.

Every team plays 14 matches in the group stage. They face 6 teams in their own group twice (one home match and one away match per team, totaling 12 matches).

Additionally, they play against 2 other teams in their group once each (one home match and one away match, totaling 2 matches).

This results in a total of 14 matches per team.

Top 4 teams from each group (total 8 teams) qualify for the T20 Blast playoffs (quarterfinals).

The playoffs follow a knockout format – lose and you're out, win and you move to the next round!

The 2025 T20 Blast kicks off on May 29, and Finals Day will be held on September 13 at Edgbaston, Birmingham.
