The league expanded from 6 to 8 teams this year, and with IPL stars also playing, the buzz is almost as big as IPL itself !

Delhi Premier League, or DPL, is a T20 cricket league that started in 2024. It was launched to scout and grow young cricket talents, backed by the Delhi Sports Authority and multiple sponsors.

Here, you’ll see young players giving it their all - chasing dreams, and maybe even becoming the next big star.
The 2025 Delhi Premier League will take place from August 2 to August 31, with a reserve day for the final on September 1. There will be 1–2 matches each day, with two match timings: 2:00 PM and 7:00 PM.
In August, there will be 40 group stage matches and 4 playoff matches (2 qualifiers + 1 eliminator + 1 final), making a total of 44 matches.

There are 8 teams in the 2025 Delhi Premier League. Among them, New Delhi Tigers and Outer Delhi Warriors are the two newly added teams this year.
South Delhi Superstarz and East Delhi Riders are the top contenders for the title. Central Delhi Kings and West Delhi Lions also have the potential to cause upsets.
The new teams will need to deliver some big surprises to stand out!
As the 2024 DPL champions, East Delhi Riders boast a strong captain, Himmat Singh (381 runs last season), and key bowler Simarjeet Singh (18 wickets).
