Out of the 12 teams, who do you think will make it to the semifinals? Other than the crowd favorite Puneri Paltan, which teams do you believe have the best shot? Come and predict PKL now!
Born in 2014, the Pro Kabaddi League (PKL) is a joint creation by Mashal Sports and Star Sports, featuring 12 teams battling it out every season. This is the second most-watched sports league in India, right after the IPL!
In Kabaddi, every touch by the raider and every defender’s tackle is packed with pure strategy and quick thinking. Points are scored within seconds - You'll never get bored watching kabaddi matches!
In Season 12 of 2025, the PKL has made some major changes! The top eight teams will now qualify for the playoffs - previously, only the top six advanced.
A new Play-In Stage has been added, where the 5th to 8th-placed teams will compete for a spot in the Knockout Stage. This will make the competition more exciting and give underdogs a chance to make a comeback!
Even the 8th ranked team now has a chance to make a stunning comeback - every match is do-or-die!
The 2025 PKL playoff journey will feature 9 intense matches in total.

A total of 12 teams will battle across 108 group stage matches and 9 playoff games, including 2 Play-ins, 1 Mini-Qualifier, 3 Eliminators, 2 Qualifiers, and 1 Final, all happening across four different cities!
Each Kabaddi match has 7 players per team, 14 players total. Teams take turns sending a "raider" into the opponent's half, trying to tag defenders and return to their side within 30 seconds to score. 1 point for each player tagged.
The raider must keep chanting "Kabaddi" without taking a breath, or the other team gets 1 point. If the defending team successfully tackles and holds the raider, they get 1 point.
If all defenders are tagged and out (All Out), the attacking team gets 2 extra points. (7 + 2 = 9 points total)
Game Example:
If Team A wipes out Team B, the next raid starts with Team B. Teams keep taking turns raiding until the two halves of 20 minutes each are over.
A full match can have 40-60 raids, with a super tight and exciting pace.

2025 PKL Top 4 Teams Prediction — Percentage Stats
With the new format in 2025, this PKL season is set to be the most intense ever! All 12 teams will battle it out in 108 regular season matches.
Who will make it to the top 4 and reach the semifinals? Here’s Vegas11’s bold prediction!
Puneri Paltan is showing serious strength in the 2025 PKL Season 12 and is looking set to stay in the top four! As the Season 10 (2023-24) champions, they’re known for their balanced attack and defense.
Starting strong with 3 wins and 1 loss in their first 4 matches (6 points), they currently lead the points table.
With Aslam Inamdar’s aggressive raids and Sanket Sawant’s rock-solid defense, plus their tactical discipline, Puneri Paltan stands out as a top favorite for the semifinals, continuing their elite performance.
UP Yoddhas kicked off the 2025 season with 2 wins in their first 2 matches, showing high scoring efficiency and a strong balance between offense and defense.
With no-draw rules in Season 12 (decided by Golden Raids), offensive teams have the upper hand - and UP Yoddhas’ raiding power stands out big time.
Their star player, Pardeep Narwal, the all-time PKL raid points leader with 1,664 raid points, continues to be their main attacking force. During the Noida leg of Season 11, he led with 44 raid points, dominating the stage.
In Season 11 (2024), UP Yoddhas narrowly lost 25-28 to Haryana Steelers in the semifinals, proving they have serious playoff potential this year.
Dabang Delhi K.C. also started the 2025 season undefeated with 2 wins, tying for second place alongside UP Yoddhas. Their biggest strength lies in a well-balanced attack and defense.
On offense, Ashu Malik has been a key raider, shining in Season 11 with 22 raid points during the Noida leg. On defense, they have the legendary Fazel Atrachali from Iran, who delivered consistent performances throughout Season 11.
With a perfect start and a track record of stability, Dabang Delhi K.C. has everything it takes to secure a spot in the top 4 this season.
Jaipur Pink Panthers are a historic powerhouse, having won the PKL title twice - Season 1 and Season 9. In 2022’s Season 9 final, they defeated Puneri Paltan 33-29 to claim the championship.
Their star raider, Pavan Kumar Sehrawat, is the most expensive player in PKL history, bought for ₹2.605 crore. Back in Season 6, he scored 282 points and earned the MVP award, proving his massive potential.
With the new rules favoring aggressive play, Jaipur’s attacking firepower could surge in the later stages of the season.
Combining strong team history with Pavan Kumar’s skills, Jaipur Pink Panthers have a solid chance to climb into the top 4 over the 22-match league.
Since Season 5 (2017), the prize money has been fixed:
